How to Swap With NEAR Intents in Ledger Wallet’s New UI

April 11, 2026

Ledger Wallet's upgraded UI is now live, making one of its most useful features easier to reach: cross-chain swaps powered by NEAR Intents via Swapkit. A few clicks inside the swap feature, an on-device confirmation, and your assets move across chains, without manual bridging, gas management, or browser extensions, and without your keys leaving the hardware device.

NEAR Intents was integrated into Ledger Wallet via SwapKit last fall and has since processed millions of dollars in cross-chain swap volume for Ledger users. NEAR Intents is universal cross-chain infrastructure that enables users to specify a desired outcome, such as swap asset A on one chain for asset B on another, rather than manually managing routes, bridges, or liquidity sources. A competitive network of solvers returns the best execution, and the entire route settles in a single signed transaction. One signature, one destination asset, no intermediate steps exposed to the user.

Built for Hardware-Secured Swaps

Cross-chain swaps are among the higher-risk operations a self-custody user performs. Each additional chain introduces more smart contracts, more approvals, and more surface area for failure. A hardware wallet like Ledger exists to enforce a physical boundary between private keys and any process that requests access to them, and that boundary matters most when the transaction is complex.

The NEAR Intents integration in Ledger Wallet is designed around that boundary. Route discovery and transaction construction happen off-device. Signing happens on the Ledger device itself, with the destination and amount displayed on the device screen, and no value moves until the user confirms on the hardware. The result is a one-step cross-chain swap backed by a hardware wallet's assurance model.

Ledger Wallet's redesigned UI makes this flow shorter and more legible. Swap is a top-level action. NEAR Intents quotes appear alongside other routes for direct comparison. The whole experience remains fully integrated within Ledger Wallet, with transaction approval handled on-device.

What Ledger Users Can Do Today

Ledger users can access NEAR Intents within Ledger Wallet’s Swap interface to:

  • Swap assets across 30+ chains, without manually bridging.
  • Compare quotes inside Ledger Wallet, without leaving the hardware-secured environment for a third-party aggregator.
  • Confirm every swap on the Ledger device, with the destination and amount displayed on the hardware screen before signing.
  • Verifiable onchain settlement. Every swap settles transparently onchain.

How to Swap With NEAR Intents in Ledger Wallet’s updated UI

The flow is the same on desktop and mobile. Open Ledger Wallet and select Swap in the navigation bar or on the homepage for desktop. On mobile, open the Ledger Wallet app, select Swap from the navigation bar From there:

  1. Select the source asset, destination asset, and the accounts on each side.
  2. Enter the amount.
  3. Select NEAR Intents from the available quotes.
  4. Click Swap with NEAR Intents.
  5. Connect and unlock the Ledger device.
  6. Open the Exchange app on-device and confirm the transaction.

The swap settles and the destination asset arrives in the receiving account.
